Here’s a couple of recent things in a post rock/post metal/sludge/prog/whatever vein. The last track off the Wren EP made it onto the current Panic & Carousels, whereas the Sleep Maps somehow didn’t quite. Both are there for ‘name your price’ on bandcamp and are worth checking out if you like this type of thing. Wren are from London, are in a bunch of other bands and this is their first EP. Sleep Maps are from the Noo Yoik and have a bunch of other stuff there for you to check out too. Despite the ugly green I think I prefer the Wren cover art, and their music too. But that’s just me. Sleep Maps have recorded found voices talking about evolution and sci fi type business (and slightly too many prog albums I suspect.)
Hey. It’s September. Is it the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness yet?
